Each member of Tuition Options’ Executive Team has more than 10 years of experience in lending, servicing, originations and regulatory support to Title IV and Non-Title IV post secondary institutions. Their relevant experience with regulatory and compliance enables Tuition Options to provide schools with a clear and complete understanding of federal compliance standards.

Executive Team

Thomas ("Tim") Fitzpatrick joined Tuition Options as Chairman in June 2009. Since May 2007, Tim has served as Chief Executive Officer of TLB Advisors. He previously served as CEO of SLM Corporation from February 2005 to May 2007 and as President and COO from September 2000 to February 2005. Prior to joining SLM, Tim served as President and CEO of Equity One, Inc.

Dennis Murphy is President, National Sales and Marketing, and has over 10 years of experience in the student lending industry. Prior to joining Tuition Options, Dennis served as Vice President of National Sales at SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae company, and was responsible for sales and customer service for the post-secondary education market.

Kate Cavataio is Vice President and Controller. Kate has 10 years of data analytics experience in financial services measuring the qualities of private education loan portfolios. She is a Certified Public Accountant and was formerly employed by SLM Corporation and Arthur Andersen LLP.

Ray Matteucci is Vice President-Collections. Prior to joining the company, Ray served 10 years as President of SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae company, and was responsible for servicing and collections.

TJ Fitzpatrick is Vice President of Operations. TJ served 8 years as Regional Sales Manager for SLM Financial in the for-profit school market. He is currently responsible for the servicing and collections of over 38,000 institutional loans.

Jason Morgan is Director of Operations and Product Management and previously served as Career Training and Signature Loan Product Manager for SLM Financial. Jason is responsible for defining and implementing strategic technology-related initiatives to build operational efficiencies and manages the company’s enterprise data management solution which provides information to school clients.

Tamela ("Tammy") Butler is Vice President - Administration and Compliance. She is currently responsible for the overall daily office operations, human resources, legal and servicing agreements and regulatory compliance for the company. Tammy has over 14 years of executive office expertise and was formerly employed by Sallie Mae, Host Marriott Corporation and Arthur Andersen LLP.
